Rob Dowell
The mid-to-late 90's were an exciting time for the electronic music scene in Florida. It was here that Rob Dowell was first introduced to that sound and what it meant to be a DJ. Living within walking distance of Simons in Gainesville allowed him the privilege to see the world's best pass through on a weekly basis. It was here that he developed a passion for the music. Now, over a decade later, he is even more involved than he has ever been.
In the summer of 2002, Rob moved to Atlanta, GA. Teaming up with like-minded friends Trey Smith, Earth Deuley and Wes McGee, they created an internet radio show on Proton Radio called Warm Art. It was their goal to showcase the importance and subtelty of sounds not necessarily intended for the dancefloor. Nearly 6 years later, it is one of the longest running shows in Proton Radio history.

2007 saw the release of his first artist album, "The Creative Itch" on Lobotomy Records. Two massive singles from the album, "I Could Be Wrong" and "Stick Figures", immediately put him on the production map with support from Danny Howells, James Zabiela, Phil K, Stryke and many more. Rob is currently developing his Mimic alias, one that allows him to push himself deeper into experimentation with down- and mid-tempo constructions.
